I loved "Devil Wears Prada" and liked "Everyone Worth Knowing", so I had high hopes for this novel. Unfortunately, this book did not meet them. Frankly, I was surprised by how pedantic this novel is - it reads like an author's first try, not a third novel. Each of the characters was a cliche, and not a very well drawn one at that. The book itself is okay, but knowing that this author also wrote "Devil Wears Prada" makes me wonder if it was two different authors writing the two books.
